Facilities search
Facilities is a free Government of Catalonia application for iPhone. It allows users to look up public services (hospitals, schools, courts, etc.) classified by type and location. It positions them on a map and shows the facilities nearest the point where the user is at any time, using the phone’s geopositioning function. It also includes options to access the nearest emergency services.
The application will soon be available for other mobile devices.

SMS traffic alerts
To receive information on traffic conditions you can send an SMS to 5012 with the word transit followed by the name of the road or province (in Catalonia or anywhere else in Spain) about which you would like to have information (e.g. transit AP-7, transit Barcelona, etc.)
You will receive an SMS message giving information about any significant incidents, including details of the municipality, kilometer point, seriousness, cause, etc.
