Strategic plans for road safety were the focus of the International Congress of European Traffic Policy, organized by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT), which was held on 15 and 16 May at the World Trade Center in Barcelona. The main theme chosen coincides with the first long-term strategic Plan adopted by the Government in 2014 whose target is to reduce by 50% by 2020 the number of deaths due to road accidents compared with 2010, as fixed by the European Union. Road safety experts from Catalonia, from the rest of Spain and Europe participated in the symposium, with which the SCT aims to continue positioning itself as the leading agency in the battle against road accidents.
