The teaching activities managed by the CAHTA are geared towards transmitting knowledge and skills in the methodology and practice of health technology and health services assessment, contributing to the dissemination of the assessment and research products generated and promote the presence of the CAHTA in different contexts.

In order to respond to the training needs expressed by institutions and professionals from the health setting, both in terms of health care and academic requirements, different types training spaces are designed, whose common ground is the development of topics in which the CAHTA specialises.

The CAHTA's teaching activity is developed at under- and postgraduate level and in ongoing training. In contact (group and individual) or on-line learning, specific courses are given, scientific sessions are arranged and attended, conferences are given and hands-on practice is arranged. The sphere of action is local, national and international, covering hospitals, primary health care centres, universities, health administrations and private agents (industry, pharmaceutical companies, consultant companies). The planning and coordination of the activities are covered by the members of the CAHTA, whereas the teaching staff is made up of the same professionals and a team of external part-time collaborators or investigators who are involved in the institution's projects.

For further information, please contact Antoni Parada, person in charge of the CAHTA academic and training activities.
