The Ministry which I head has the goal of providing Catalonia with the tools necessary for it to take a qualitative leap towards a knowledge-based economy, bringing together in one ministry competences in the main productive sectors of the economy and those great generators of knowledge and human capital, our universities. This website is yet another tool to achieve this goal, a tool which is easy to use and useful for all who want or need to know about the competences of the Ministry in detail. You will also find details of the bodies which are subject to its control and the services which you can use. We will make available to you all the basic information we compile about questions related to the fields of innovation and globalisation, industry and enterprise, universities and research, and trade and tourism. From the website we hope to streamline the administrative procedures related to these areas as much as possible, so that it is an effective guide and a model site.
