Delegations of the Government of Catalonia

Delegations of the Catalan Government in Lleida, Girona, Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre have also organised commemorative events for the National Day in their respective regions.

• Girona: There will be an institutional event at the Girona Archaeology Museum - Sant Pere Galligants Monastery, at 8 p.m. on 10 September.
• Terres de l'Ebre: The institutional event of commemoration of the National Day of Catalonia in the Terres de l'Ebre will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday 10 September at the Reials Col.legis de Tortosa (c/ Sant Domènec). The protagonist of the commemoration will be the Universitat Rovira Virgili (URV) due to the eventual implementation of this centre in the Ebre districts: the construction of the new Ebre Campus in Remolins (Tortosa) will begin this October. The President of the URV, Francesc Grau, will make a speech during the event called "Knowledge, region and country". The Corda Euterpe Quartet will perform some pieces by Bach and Mozart as well as some Catalan songs.
• Lleida: The Delegation of Lleida will hold the traditional floral offering to the Lleidans who defended the liberty of Catalonia, at the Roser building. The Minister of Justice, Montserrat Tura, will be attending the event. Grup EnVers will perform Màrius Torres's poem, "Molt lluny d'aquí" (Very far away) and Joan Margarit's poem, "La perdiu jove" (The Young Partridge).
• Tarragona: As is now a regular occurrence, the Delegation of Tarragona will hold a joint event with a council in its region, which this year will be Montblanc Council. Historian Andreu Mayayo will deliver a speech called "Acclaim for Democratic Provinciality", and the Coral Flor de Lis will perform the National Hymn of Catalonia, "Els Segadors". The event will take place in the Antic Hospital de Santa Magdalena de Montblanc on Wednesday, 10 September at 7 p.m.

Government Delegation in Madrid

At 7 p.m. on Monday, 14 September, a commemorative event for the National Day of Catalonia will take place in Madrid, organised by the Government Delegation in Madrid. President José Montilla will host a reception at the Students' Residence, to which personalities from the capital's political, economic and cultural world have been invited.

Germany

Berlín: 10 September at 7 p.m. in the Atrium Room of Deutsche Bank. Institutional event organised by the Government Delegation in Germany in collaboration with the office of the Institut Ramon Llull in Germany. Cello player, Lluís Claret, will give a performance of Catalan composers from the nineteenth and twentieth century. Professor Tilbert Stegmann will also be paid tribute for his dedication to the Catalan language and culture on his retirement from teaching in the University of Frankfurt.

Wolfenbüttel: 11 September at 4 p.m. The delegate will hold a floral offering in front of the statue of Pau Casals with the City Mayor, Thomas Pink. Cello player, Lluís Claret, will put on a concert at 7.30 p.m. in the Prince's Palace of Wolfenbüttel.

France

Paris: 10 September at 6.30 p.m. Official reception organised by the Government Delegation in France in collaboration with the Paris offices of the Institut Ramon Llull, Turisme de Catalunya, ACC10 , Cidem, Copca and the Catalan Institute of Cultural Industries.

Perpignan: 110 September at 6.30 p.m. at the Generalitat house. Reception with representatives of the civil, political and social society of North Catalonia, during which there will be a speech given by the director of the Generalitat House in Perpinyà, Jordi Fernández Cuadreny.

Italy

Alguer: 11 September at 7 p.m. in the Palau Cívic, Sessions Room of the City Hall of Alguer. Institutional event organised by the Espai Llull -Generalitat House of Alguer with the support of the City Hall. Doctor Laura Borràs, a Theory of Literature Professor in the University of Barcelona, will give a speech called "The Eleventh of September in Catalan Culture". At 9 p.m. in the cloister of the Church of Sant Francesc. Concert by Elena Gragera (mezzo soprano) and Anton Cardó (piano) organised by the Espai Llull.

United States

New York: 12 September at 12 p.m. in the Liederkranz Center (6E 87th Street). Catalan Choir Music Concert put on by AmorArtis Choir and performance by the Colla Cors Joves Group/Cultural Association and Sardanista Flor de Fajol of Olot. There will also be traditional Catalan dishes.

United Kingdom

Edinburgh: 16 September at 7 p.m. in the Our Dynamic Earth Building (Holyrood Road). Official reception with participation by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of the Scottish Government, Bruce Crawford.
