How to get thereAAs part of the celebrations in honour of the National Day of Catalonia, an open day will be held at the Palau de la Generalitat. Throughout the entire day, the premises of the Catalan Government headquarters will be open to those member of the public wishing to visit them.
The delegations of the Catalan Government in Lleida, Girona, Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre have also organised events to commemorate the National Day of Catalonia in their respective regions.
The Catalan Government, through its Madrid Delegation, organises several events to commemorate the National Day of Catalonia. President José Montilla will offer a reception on Wednesday, 12 September, in the Students' Residency, to which guests have been invited from the spheres of politics, the economy and culture in the capital. The president of Catalonia shall also attend the première of the film "El Coronel Macià" to be screened at the Sala Ideal in Madrid.
For the first time ever, the Generalitat is to celebrate September 11th in Paris. The vice-president Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira will hold a reception at the Offices of the Generalitat-Maison de la Catalogne, to be attended by representatives from the French institutions and members of the accredited diplomatic corps in Paris, as well as members of the general public and Catalans residing in Paris. The president of the Parlament will also, Ernest Benach, will also travel to Paris for the events. The Generalitat's secretary of Linguistic Policy, Miquel Pueyo, will also deliver a conference there.
