The event, which take place at the Passeig dels Til.lers of the Parc de la Ciutadella, will be led by Lluís Homar and directed by Joan Ollé.

• Pasqual Maragall, president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and Ernest Benach, president of the Parliament will inaugurate the event at the Passeig dels Til·lers. The Mossos d'Esquadra Police will march in formation.
• Antoni Borrell i Vives, mayor of Miravet, will hand over the flag of his town to the presidents.
• Reading of part of the speech that Pau Casals gave to the United Nations in 1971.
• Jordi Savall performs the Cant dels ocells (carol of the birds) on the viola da gamba.
• The singer Marina Rossell performs the Sardana Per tu ploro.
• Paco Ibáñez performs a song in Basque
• Reading of the poem Inici de càntic al temple (beginning of the canticle in the temple), written by Salvador Espriu.
• Missia performs the Habanera La Gavina.
• The Sant Jordi choir perform a popular song.
• The Mossos d'Esquadra formation raises the flag. Performance of the hymn Els segadors (the harvesters) given by Pascal Comelade and sung by the Montserrat Choir

Sardana dances in the park in the park performed by the Cobla Principal de la Bisbal Orchestra (the official Catalan Orchestra of the Generalitat of Catalonia) and the Cobla La Principal del Llobregat Orchestra.
