National Day of Catalonia, 11 September, has been held for two years in the form of the 11 September Institutional Event. This is in addition to the regular floral tribute that is laid at the Rafael Casanova monument. This Institutional Event commemorates the National Day of Catalonia, the day of all the citizens, and it is led by the president of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the president of the Parliament. It is likewise attended by the authorities, the democratically elected representatives of the towns in Catalonia and many citizens.
In 2005, the arrangement of the national hymn was presented by maestro Antoni Ros Marbā, and this year a new version is to be presented, performed this time by Pascal Comelade and the musicians of his ensemble.
